Love cannot exist well in captivity, as beauty turns to rubble, and the pungent smoke of lust and greed blots the sun out. We must not allow the evil of power to steal what wisdom has begun. We stand naked with this truth, weeping and asking ourselves how we can be like this. We wave our white flag, cringing as we duck our heads beneath the shrapnel.
