It’s not a bad thing to change your mind – it can be a virtue.
Good scientists and historians are always prepared to change their opinions if new evidence contradicts them. They put forward revised theories, also to be tested. That is how our understanding of the world has increased.
The reason we know that many theories are true is because they have passed such tests. And it is not just academics who apply this method. We can all use it in our daily lives to improve our understanding to decide what is true. When you can, test or challenge critical information to decide if it is valid.
When my information changes, I change my mind.
