There is nothing more painful than losing someone you love. Life can be so bitter. You can’t take back all the tears that you cry, all the years now lost. The day comes when you think you’re okay but deep inside your soul you’re not. You wish you could wish it all away, but then you realize that your grief is the love that will never leave you, that you will possess it always. It must not obsess you, not own you, even when you are a wreck sinking beneath the waves of living. One more rainy day with no song. Lost things you should have said, things that you wish you had done. Combat regrets with those memories of happy loving times. You will never forget the one you loved, as you shouldn’t.
There is no pain so great as the memory of joy in present grief – Aeschylus
